The Saint of Preveza ratings (Movie, 1982)

The same thing happened with its film adaptation, which was also banned for almost a year, and was then just as commercially successful as the play. The story is about the sinful life and scandals of the Bishop of Preveza, who was involved in various suspicious deals. His activity is described in the darkest of colors, and the subject takes on political dimensions and strikes at the heart of the current situation in the Greek church.
