In a neighborhood, Stavros, a child of folk origin, is in love with Mary, who, although fallen, still claims to be a high aristocrat, despising Stavros' love. From Stavros' brothers, Chronis is oppressed by Dora's husband who despises him, and Lefteris, who is a footballer, is engaged with Elene, who wants to become a movie star. Sometime there will be the final disaster for Mary, and then she understands how much she loved Stavros, who, although she has become rich, accepts it again.
