The Commissioner wants the case resolved quickly so as not to affect tourism to the island. Poole however isn't convinced it was suicide and can't quite understand why Dupree would have prepared a very expensive cup of tea and then just leave it virtually untouched. The victim was working as an entertainer on a party boat but it was her last night as she was planning to relocate to Miami. She had argued with Steve Morrison about money, as he refused to let her out of her contract, but he claims she had the $20,000 buy her freedom. Morrison's wife Eloise admits putting rose-hip, an irritant, in her drink but denies putting in the strychnine that killed her. There are other suspects but none of them seem to have a motive. Finding out where the money was to come from provides the solution to the crime.
